So I've been REALLY bad about updating this.  I've got a Livejournal and a MySpace too, so I can stay active on EVERYTHING.  Ok, so here's what's been going on:

- Christmas was good.  We all got spoiled, especially Delanie.
- We didn't do much on New Year's.  Daniel and I both fell asleep on the couch before midnight because we're losers.
- I'm full-time at work now, so I work all day Monday through Thursday.  I'm tired at the end of the day, but it's worth it.
- I've seen a TON of movies lately (The Family Stone, The Ringer, Chronicles of Narnia, Hostel, Brokeback Mountain...)
- I've been hanging out with Chris a lot lately, so that's been really fun.
- Scott and Jenny's baby is due today and we're the godparents.  I'm not sure when she will actually HAVE the baby, but the day is quickly approaching.

So yeah, that's what I've been up to.  Having two weeks off of work was nice, but it was an adjustment starting back, especially since I have to get up at 6:30 in the morning now.  Oh well, I'm a morning person, so it's no biggie.

Delanie is getting so big and it amazes me.  She turned 18 months old today and it doesn't seem possible.  She says so many words and is interested in everything that's going on around her.  We're also starting the potty-training process, so wish us luck.  She definitely seems ready, so I don't think we'll have too much trouble.  She is a girl, after all.

Daniel's 23rd birthday is tomorrow.  We're both off work (he requested off and I'm off for Martin Luther King Jr. Day), so we're going to spend the day together.  I think we're going up the Castleton to the Best Buy and then we're going to eat at this Chinese restaurant that he loves.  I'm not sure what else is on the agenda, but I'm sure it will be a nice day.

Today, we're just kinda being lazy.  I have no intentions on leaving today since I was busy yesterday and I will be tomorrow too.  We're probably just going to watch the Colts game and some of the movies we burned.

Well, I guess that's all for now.  Hasta la bye-bye!

Once again, it's been a while since I've updated this dude.  It's been crazy lately... lots of work and running around.  Halloween was obviously Monday and that was REALLY busy.  As soon as I picked Delanie up after work, we came home, got her in her costume, and then we all headed out to visit.  We went to Jason's, Daniel's grandpa's, my dad's, Daniel's dad's, and then Heide's.  Delanie was definitely up past her bedtime, but she was having fun.  She got so spoiled, but what else is new?

My mom comes home on Saturday, I'm really looking forward to that.  My dad and I are going to get her from the airport.  She doesn't get in til like 10 at night, so Delanie's obviously not going to be able to go see her Nana.  I think when they drop me off back at home, my mom will more than likely want to come in to see her.

I think we're gonna get our family pictures done next weekend, as in the 12th.  We'll get some of just Delanie too, of course.  Most people are getting those as their Christmas presents.  That better be good enough, we don't have the money to do much else.  Some people are getting their own presents, but most of the family is just getting the pictures.

Well, I need to finish getting myself ready for work - makeup and shit - so I'll try to update this more often.  Hasta la bye-bye!

So I'm definitely f-ing sick... the one week that was supposed to be a REALLY good one.  Ehhh, it's not that big of a deal, though, since I'm not working and could get the necessary rest.  Now, I'm just working on getting my voice back.  It's BAD, like I pretty much don't have a voice.  My dad thinks I have laryngitis since it doesn't really hurt or anything.  I guess we'll see.

I did go out and spoil myself a little today, though.  I went to Bath and Body Works and used one of my coupons.  I got Tutti Dolci Body Polish in Apple Torta.  OMG, I can't tell you how much I love the Tutti Dolci shit.  It's fab.  I've got so much of it and in my opinion, I can't have enough.  I also got some Aromatherapy Foam Bath in Lavender Vanilla, yet another item that I'm obsessed with.  Then I got a bottle of Vanilla Bean Noel Body Cream for free since I had my coupon.  I think I'm gonna go there and get my mom's Christmas present.  THEN I ran over to Kohls to get Delanie a couple more tops, because she needs them.  The Carter's shit was on sale, so I got three tops for $21 which isn't bad.  I also saw something that I'm gonna get Amber for Christmas, but I'm not gonna say what.  I think it's cute.

So I downloaded EVERY Degrassi episode, minus the ones I already had on DVD.  I even got this week's new one, the one I would have had to wait and see this Friday.  YAY!  I love being a pirate.  Maybe I should be that for Halloween at school, ha ha ha.

Ummm, that is all for now.  I've got more shit to do.  Hasta la bye-bye!

So this was my first official week of work.  It went really well and the kids are starting to get to know me and respond just like they do to the teacher and other assistant.  OK, here are my kids:
~ Logan:  He's a typical peer, so he doesn't have any disabilities.  He's such a sweetheart, though.
~ Shelby:  Severe communication problems and delay.  She has some difficulty hearing, but they're hoping that will get better since she just had her tonsils and adenoids removed and she's getting tubes in her ears.  We will see.
~ Isaiah:  Emotional, behavioral, and communication problems.  He's such a sweetheart, but he can be very defiant when he wants to be.  He was severely abused by his biological parents with ropes and cords and he is now in foster care.
~ Morgan: She has cerebral palsy and cortical blindness.  I think that's pretty self-explanatory.
~ Dylan:  Communication and behavioral problems.  He tends to get rough and violent with the other kids.  I'm concerned that he's going to be a bit of a bully as he gets older.
~ Clay:  He's three, but mentally, he's between 6 and 9 months old.  His physical abilities are more advanced though.  He can walk and run, pick things up, etc.
~ Jaden:  One of the twins we have.  He's got communication problems, but I have seen so many positive changes in him just since I started subbing.  He understands and comprehends well, his speech just isn't great.  We can usually understand him, though,.
~ Jacob:  The other twin.  He's not quite at Jaden's level.  He has major communication delays.  He doesn't say any real words and doesn't recognize his name when he sees it.  He also has behavioral problems.
~ Peyton:  He has communication problems, but to be honest, he's one of the more advanced kids in the class.  He has speech problems similar to Jaden's.

Overall, they're really great kids and I love spending time with them, watching them learn and develop.  I enjoy going to work every day, there is no way that I could leave Delanie to go to a job that I didn't love.  This one was just meant to be, apparently.

I'm off today, as I am on every Friday, so I'm watching Conner for Heide.  He is actually being REALLY good, I'm kinda surprised.  Maybe he just likes coming here and playing with Delanie, maybe he's just really comfortable with me.  Tonight, I'm gonna go over to my dad's so I can watch Degrassi.  Tomorrow, I think I'm gonna run over to Sara's to visit her and the new baby - Jake William.  I also need to run out to get a present for Sam's little girl Joey.  Her birthday party is Sunday and she's going to be one.  She likes a lot of the same stuff as Delanie, so it shouldn't be difficult to find a present.  Then tomorrow evening, I think Scott and Jenny are coming over to hang out and watch movies.  Then Sunday is the birthday party and that is the extent of my weekend plans.

Next week, I only work on Monday because of fall break.  The older kids go on Tuesday and Wednesday for half a day, but the kindergarten and preschool classes don't go at all.  Tuesday, Delanie has a doctor's appointment and then next Friday, I have to watch Conner again.  But THAT is it.  YAY for easy weeks.  :*)

Well, that's all for now.  I need to finish picking up around here since the kids are resting.  Hasta la bye-bye!

Well, I got the job at Clark Pleasant Intermediate School!  I am now the instructional assistant for the special education preschool class!  I'm really happy about it and for once in my life, I truly love my job.  It's an amazing feeling, to actually look forward to going into work.  Don't get me wrong, it's exhausting and definitely tries my patience, but it's the best job I can imagine having.

In other news, my mom's not coming back from England until November 5th... BOO!  I'm not very happy about that, but she's gotta do what she's gotta do.

Ummm, the weekend was pretty fun.  Saturday, Daniel went out and bought me a bunch of kinky surprises.  Then I ran out to Target to get Jacob's birthday present.  Then later that night, Daniel and I dropped Delanie off at his dad's and we went out to dinner.  We ended up and TGI Fridays and it was pretty damn good.  Then we walked around the mall for a little bit and splurged on a few things.  Then we picked up the munchkin and headed home to use our new stuff!  Let's just say he spoiled me and I loved it.

Sunday was Jacob's party and then I had errands to run.  Delanie was being difficult, so it wasn't the best of days.  Daniel was really sweet though.  When I got home, he knew that my back was bothering me, so he told me to go back to bed and that he would take care of dinner and get Delanie ready for bed.  He brought dinner back to me and everything.

Well, I suppose that's all.  I have this week off because I didn't think I would have a sitter, even though I could have if necessary.  I have crap to get done, though, so it's probably for the best.  Hasta la bye-bye!
